Bytown Catering has been a supporter of the St. Joe’s Supper Table community meal programme and food bank for nearly two decades and on Sunday, September 24, 2024 it once again hosted its annual golf tournament and banquet to raise funds for this local poverty relief initiative. Among the over 120 guests at the banquet hosted at the beautiful NCC River House, fifteen parishioners and friends of St. Joseph’s Parish attended as well. In addition to the parish’s community meal programme and food bank, the ALS Society of Canada was the other beneficiary of the event. The St. Joe’s golf team won the “Most Honest Golfer” prize and Father Robert Laroche, OMI opened the tasty banquet dinner with grace.
In 2023, Bytown Catering donated $3,000 to the St. Joe’s Supper Table. The amount of the 2024 donation will be known later this fall.
